Dimitris Itoudis

A pleasant surprise awaits the friends and participants of the 7th Kos 3X3 Basketball Festival, as the great coach, Dimitris Itoudis, will be present on our island. The experienced coach will also be the one who will be giving the awards on Sunday, July 28th.

From July 24 to 28, the biggest sports festival of the summer will take place at Antagora Square and Dimitris Itoudis will be the official guest of the Phoebus team.

The career of Dimitris Itoudis 

The 54-year-old coach began his coaching career as an assistant at KK Zagreb.

In 1995 he was an assistant at PAOK, before taking over the reins in 1996. Then he followed Panionios as an assistant, before taking over Filippos Thessaloniki (1997-99). In 1999 he was the first coach at MENT. Then, from late 1999 to 2012 he served as an assistant coach at Panathinaikos, alongside Zeljko Obradovic.

In 2013, he went to Banvid as head coach, followed by CSKA Moscow (2014-22).

After Russia, he took over the bench of Fenerbahce and the National Team.

As a head coach, he has won the Euroleague twice (2016,2019) and the VTB League six times (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021).

As Zeljko Obradovic's assistant, he has won five Euroleague titles (2000, 2022, 2007, 2009, 2011), eleven Greek championships (2000, 2001, 2003-2011) and seven cups (2003, 2005-2009, 2012).

Among his individual distinctions, his being named coach of the year in the Euroleague twice (2016-2019) stands out.
