Basketball Festival
The Kos 3X3 Basketball Festival was held for the first time on August 20, 2018, by the people of AS PHIVOS KOS, who had the vision of creating a basketball event that would bring together all basketball fans in an open sports celebration in the city center, becoming a magnet for young and old.
The response from basketball fans was enormous, resulting in the Kos 3X3 Basketball Festival becoming an institution and the sporting event of the summer.
It is worth noting that not even the covid pandemic was able to stop the Kos 3X3 Basketball Festival, since the tournament took place normally in both 2020 and 2021, of course in compliance with the necessary health protocols.
Lots of basketball, music, street food and many guests are some of the ingredients for the success of the Kos 3X3 Basketball Festival, which gets better and better every year, bringing together more and more teams.
In 2022, thanks to the coordinated efforts of AS PHIVOS KOS, the Municipality of KOS and the South Aegean Region, the Kos 3X3 Basketball Festival was included in the official EEC 3X3 competition calendar under the name 3X3 GR NATIONAL TOUR.
A total of 82 teams from all over the Dodecanese and more than 250 athletes were present, making the 3x3GR National Tour of Kos the largest tournament to date. The club A.S. Fivos Kos and the EOK, in collaboration with the Municipality of Kos and the Region of South Aegean, set up a unique setting, offering everyone the opportunity to take part in a high-quality sporting event that broke the previous record for participation in a 3x3 tournament of the Hellenic Basketball Federation.
